Why Aplomblo

Hello! I’m Ben, an introverted software engineer and creator of Aplomblo. For me, it takes concerted effort to maintain relationships with people who I genuinely care for but are out of my “inner circle”.

I’ve noticed that some people are easy to talk to. They remember that I told them about the vacation I was planning the last time I saw them and ask how it went. They have a natural congeniality that puts me at ease.

A mentor gave me a tip: before I see people, think of a handful of topics. Did Robert try that new lentil recipe? How is Amy’s son enjoying soccer?

I made Aplomblo as an aid to help me practice it. Whenever I think of someone or interact with them, I add a connection. I review connections before seeing people. Even just adding connections makes me a more mindful friend. I hope Aplomblo helps you as well!
